User Profile Management

The Profile page is where users manage their personal account settings inside SkyPath. It allows you to review your account details, update personal information, change your password, manage the phone number used for MFA, and add a personal SAM.gov API key for contract bid searches.

The page also provides a profile summary, quick links to common areas of the platform, and for eligible accounts, options such as joining a corporate workspace or deleting the account.

INFO

The Profile page is focused on account-level settings. It is not used to manage projects, collections, or generated content directly.

Personal Information

The main section of the Profile page is Personal Information.

Here you can review or update:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number

The page also shows account fields that cannot be changed directly from this screen:

  • Email address
  • Username
  • Member since date

Email is shown as read-only, and the page indicates that support must be contacted if the email address needs to be updated. Username is also read-only and is automatically generated.

Changing Your Phone Number

Your phone number is used for MFA verification. The page shows whether the current phone number is already verified or whether verification is required.

To change your phone number:

  1. Open the Profile page.
  2. Enter the new phone number in the Phone Number field.
  3. Select Save Changes.
  4. Complete the new verification challenge when prompted.

TIP

If you update your phone number, save the changes immediately. The system uses that change to trigger a new MFA verification challenge for the updated number.

Password Reset and Password Change

The Profile page includes a Change Password section where you can update your password directly.

To change your password, enter:

  • Your current password
  • Your new password
  • Confirmation of the new password

Then select Update Password.

This section is intended for users who know their current password and want to replace it with a new one.

WARNING

Make sure the new password and confirmation match exactly before submitting the change. If you no longer know your current password, use the account recovery or password reset process available from the sign-in flow instead of this page.

SAM.gov API Key

The Profile page includes a dedicated SAM.gov API Key section. This allows you to save your own SAM.gov API key for public contract bid searches.

If you do not add your own key, the platform uses the shared environment key. When using the shared key, bid search is limited to 10 searches per day.

When you add your own SAM.gov API key:

  • The key is saved to your account
  • You are no longer limited by the shared daily search restriction
  • The Public Bid Search feature becomes more practical for frequent daily use

The API key field is intentionally blank by default for security reasons, even when a key is already stored. The page also shows whether:

  • A SAM.gov API key is currently saved for your account
  • No personal SAM.gov API key is saved and the shared daily limit still applies

To add or update your API key:

  1. Open the SAM.gov API Key section on the Profile page.
  2. Enter your key into the field.
  3. Use the eye icon if you need to temporarily show or check the entered value.
  4. Select Save SAM.gov API Key.

TIP

If SAM.gov search is part of your daily workflow, adding your own API key is the recommended setup. This avoids relying on the shared 10-search-per-day limit.

Profile Summary

The right side of the page includes a profile summary card. This area shows:

  • Your displayed name
  • Your email address
  • Your current plan badge
  • The month and year you joined
  • Your active time zone

This section is informational and helps users confirm the account they are currently signed into.

The Profile page includes quick links to commonly used areas of the application:

  • Dashboard
  • My Projects
  • Billing
  • Support

These links make it easier to move between account settings and the areas you use most often.

Joining a Corporate Account

For users on an Individual account, the Profile page includes a Join a Corporate Account section.

If your organization has invited you into a corporate workspace, you can enter the invite code in this section and select Join Company. This is used to merge your account into the corporate workspace.

Deleting Your Account

For Individual accounts, the Profile page also includes a Danger Zone section with the option to delete the account.

If you choose Delete My Account, the page opens a confirmation dialog that requires you to type DELETE before the request can be submitted.

The confirmation dialog warns that deleting the account will:

  • Permanently delete your projects and documents
  • Remove your collections and related data
  • Cancel your subscription
  • Delete your profile information

DANGER

Account deletion is intended to be permanent and cannot be undone. Export or save anything important before confirming deletion.

Best Practices for Managing Your Profile

  • Keep your first name, last name, and phone number current
  • Update your phone number promptly if the MFA number changes
  • Change your password immediately if you believe your credentials may be compromised
  • Add your own SAM.gov API key if you use public bid search frequently
  • Review the profile summary and plan information periodically to confirm you are signed into the correct account
